S&P 500: This year’s sustained rally continues as the freshest bout of investor optimism from US-China trade negotiations & Fed minutes signal neutral rates are here.


 

10-Year U.S. Treasury Notes: Global growth worries have recently pushed investors to assets considered safe, such as government debt, compressing yields.


 

U.S. Dollar: The domestic currency is pitted between investors favoring the highest-yielding currency and the struggle against rallies in emerging-market currencies.


 

Crude Oil: Following 2018’s early trend, oil tops the list of assets this year driving commodity returns.


 

Gold: Unease surrounding Brexit, monetary policy, trade talks, among other risks, has lifted “safe haven” assets such as gold.
